Let's be honest, Minecraft is just $27.  It's a great game, not up to par with the current gaming graphics but it serves as one of the best innovative indie game there is on the market.  I see people reasoning out why they should get it for free but the more reasons they throw out, the more ridiculous it sounds when they hear themselves arguing about it and later buys an Xbox One or Playstation 4 and show it off to their facebook wall.  If you have become irritated by this post, I do apologize but I have one clear statement I want to show here.  There is no such thing as a free lunch and if you really want something, there's alot of ways to get it, right?  So quit reasoning and buy the game or just leave it be.

One last note, those who reason out that they're dirt poor and don't have money to buy games, why are you so obsessed in playing games when you should prioritize your life first?  Stress-reliever, please, it's not everyday gaming can relieve any amount of stress.  If you can't pay the bills on time, then don't waste your money on useless stuff like cigarettes, alcohol, parties, take-outs, go budget your money wisely than drag your personal problems in doing piracy or some form of illegal stuff.  It's unhealthy and continue doing it will just make it worse.  I've seen people that have lost their house, their family, their loved ones just because they're too addicted to whatever they want.  I just want this to be a reminder that life is too short and hope that you're doing well than the others who have done mistakes in their life.

Minecraft: 1.7.2 servers

I recently checked the servers I used to play in, found that they've upgraded their servers to 1.7.2.  However, when I tried to play, it was very laggy and had a few disconnection bugs.  I hope they would just revert back to the 1.6.4 servers which were more stable rather than just upgrade it to 1.7.2 and get as much people into the game as possible due to trends.  I mean, you won't lose that much players since most reverts back to the 1.6.4 clients on their launcher because of the mods not able to be updated at the moment.  I guess I'll just wait and enjoy 1.6.4 for a bit til that time comes, the new mod API comes out officially from Mojang.  Til then, cheerio!

Minecraft: New Features and Logo

First off, I'd like to share some exciting news.  Mojang has released what most people are waiting for, live stream integration with partnership of Twitch.  I haven't tried twitch yet but I've seen a few live streams in there that is worth your while.  The new snapshot has that implemented and you can connect your Twitch to your Mojang account via the minecraft.net website and then modify your options via in-game settings.

In another note, Mojang looks to be changing their logo to a more professional looking one.

Minecraft: Going Hardcore

I was thinking about going hardcore in Survival Mode 1.7.2 although I still have alot of stuff to discover.  I love survival mode although dying is the most common thing that happens during my plays.  However, I am going to gather up the courage to start a Hardcore mode after seeing one of the Ultra Hardcore Modes I saw on Youtube.  Call me crazy but no natural health regen on hardcore mode?  That's really hardcore!

Anyways, if anyone is reading this, I guess I can ask you guys what mode you like the most.  Really wanted a new challenge for myself until mods start being updated to 1.7.2.

Minecraft: Murphy's Law

Hello there once again!  Due to unfortunate series of events, I will be restarting to a new world.  Sadly I have lost my previous world after trying to incorporate several new mods into my game.  Galacticraft, Millenaire, Buildcraft, Flan's Mods, Zan's Minimap, Lumberjack and Minecraft Comes Alive were working perfectly (except for the mecha that wouldn't budge).  Optifine is a given so that's why I never bothered to mention it til now.  But instead of being content with just those mods, I tried implementing other mods such as Growable Ores, HarvestCraft, BiblioCraft, and NotEnoughItems into the fray.  It was good while trying to test which mods can go with other mods but what I didn't really do before anyone does when experimenting was making a backup of the existing world.  Did I?  Nope.

I managed to make 29 mods work together after changing several codes of lines in the configs (which probably a lesson for me since I like programming)

However, when I tried launching my world, it just hanged and then when I reverted back to my original set of mods, I loaded it up and the game crashes over and over.  I tried to salvage what I could but in the end, I just accepted the fact my world and quest for the moon in that world was over.

So I guess if you're trying out mods, be sure to make a backup.  Don't do it like me.

Maybe in the next few days, I'll try that Pixelmon and hopefully it can be played with other mods like Galacticraft.  I don't really dare on playing MineZ, I just don't like them crawling zombies.  Scares the heck out of me.  Even when I play Resident Evil or anything horror themed, I just say, "No, na-uh." and just never play it again.  Although Resident Evil is tolerable to play, I rarely play it.

So with that update, I guess I'll take my rest and hope for a better minecraft experience.  I do have this gut feeling I'll be trying a Hardcore Vanilla Survival mode someday.  Til then, cheerio!

Minecraft: Finally, a rocket!

After a week of playing, I finally made the rocket.  The rocket that would send me to the moon and hopefully back to the overworld in one piece.  I laughed when I crafted the tier 1 rocket and held it in my hands.  To my surprise, it looked like my character was very strong to even hold up a big rocket.  Check this out!

Aside from making the rocket, I also included Flan's Mod Mecha and Simple Parts into my collection.  Not sure why but I thought it would be cool to see a mecha running about on the moon.  Just like in Transformers!  Check this out too!

There is a bigger version of that mecha but I could not afford making one yet because it required diamonds and this one required iron.  However, as I did manage to get one of this badass robot, the moment I test drive it, it does not move at all.  Not sure what I'm doing wrong but I already asked around but no reply as of yet.  Hopefully someday, someone will tell me if it requires fuel or something as I cannot make it to move.  It just walks in place.  I wanted to use it for mining, exploring, and killing mobs without any difficulties.  Oh well, at least the mecha is ready for some action once I figure it all out.

Minecraft Mods 1.7.2

I recently just found out that there were major changes in 1.7.2.  With that in mind, I still wonder when Forge can do wonders so we could start enjoying Minecraft Mods along with the new content and upgrades 1.7.2 has to offer.  I am not in any way demanding them to hurry it up and make us proud players.  No.  I just wanted to enjoy living in a cold taiga biome with lots of flowers and an acacia house with the possibility of going into the moon or having other AI like Minecraft Comes Alive or Millenaire mods available.

So I guess I'll stick to 1.6.4 for the time being, funny how my friend called me a noob that I can't play 1.6.4 anymore because it's already 1.7.2.  I silently chuckle and let his ignorance fool him as I did watch Minecon 2013 livestream on youtube where the Minecraft team was on stage and showing the viewers how to play a certain version using the new launcher.

If Notch and Minecraft team reads this, I would like to personally thank you for making my life less miserable for developing this game and giving me a stress reliever during hard times.  Also special thanks to the mod developers, without you, the game would just be quickly boring.  I'm not saying it's boring boring but it's like lego.  Once you're done with building or experimenting, that's it.  With the mods, it adds a new depth and achievements in the game, prolonging gameplay even replayability.  So kudos to everyone that have made this happen!

I have yet to play with others online.  Wish I could just go to a forum and ask people if I could play with them but as to date, I'm still saving up for my own premium account and using my friend's account and playing offline mode.  Just wish if I won the lottery, I'd donate a few million to Mojang and then buy a couple of games and then start a crew and post youtube videos with us playing.  That would be a dream come true!  *sigh*

Minecraft: Two Quarries in Progress

I was doing my routine mining during the night and then boom, found diamonds.  Then after a few blocks off from the first discovery, another one.  And another one near a lava source.  How lucky can I be?  That half a stack of diamonds have made me invest to two quarries so that I can mine with efficiency and best thing about it is I still get to use my Stirling Engines (6 each).  The Combustion Engine was hard to operate (with the cooling system and all).  I guess that's a wrap from me!

Minecraft with Millenaire, Galacticraft 2, BuildCraft, Lumberjack, Zan's Minimap, Minecraft Comes Alive, and OptiFine Mods

Hey guys!  I finally got to play Minecraft again thanks to my friend!  Although I cannot play online with other people due to the fact my friend is using it most of the time, I can however play with it on offline mode.  So with excitement, I started off playing survival mode with mods.  I've included the mods in the title if anyone is wondering and all work for 1.6.4.  It's bad that there's no update to 1.7.2 due to the new codes implemented to Minecraft but I guess they're going in the right direction with the game.  They even mentioned voice chat and live streaming implementation on the future updates.

With that said, I'm enjoying the mods on a 1.6.4 world.  I will include pictures as I go but I'm not sure if I would do it on a daily basis or weekly.  But I'll try my best to make a MC diary as of today.

When I first spawned into the world, I quickly gathered everything that was necessary.  Wood, cobblestone, cobblestone tools, furnace and crafting table, a bed, food, and then traveled around two or three biomes before reaching a Millenaire village.  It was a small village at first but then it grew as I helped them out collecting resources such as wood and cobblestone.  As time went by, they needed more demanding materials such as glass, bricks, and even wool.

I even started my own mining operations using Buildcraft.  It was cool and gave me some extra time to do other stuff like going out to get wood and finding food.  And when I came back, I was surprised that the villagers gave me a good house as gratitude for helping them out.  It touched my heart that I would want to live with them.  The house is small but very accommodating so I decided to spice it up with lots of chests.

With two weeks gone by, I haven't forgotten my original mission, which was to go to the moon and bring back materials for me to build other stuff for my space exploration.  Not sure if how that would work but I guess I can do this on my own and/or better yet, find a few souls out there with the same goals.

Right now, I got my NASA Workbench and Oxygen contraptions to collect and store oxygen into Tanks.  I also got my Rocket Pad set up so that when the time comes, I'm going to place that rocket and fly into space!

But as these machines are not easy to build, I kinda used up alot of my resources but I don't intend on giving up that easily.  Instead, I built three more mining machines (hopefully get diamonds and build a quarry) and I asked a nice villager if they could assist me in my mining operations.  Without fear, the villager agreed and to my surprise he does not seem to be afraid of anything, even LAVA!!!!

He went swimming into the lava but successfully killed that zombie.  What a brave soul!  I wouldn't even dare go into lava unless I got a fire protection potion.  Or a bucket of water to make that lava go away.

Anways, I had fun with Minecraft this past few days.  And I guess my Millenaire villagers will continue on building and I can see their progress from a small village into a big city or even a metropolis!  I haven't found a village yet so I cannot play with Minecraft Comes Alive mod as of yet.  But when I do, I shall bring all the villagers back to my home and I could start a new family with them.  Hopefully the Millenaire villagers won't mind me bringing back strangers.

Minecraft: Sudden Interest

Hi guys, I know that Minecraft is an old game but I recently found the time to play this game.  Unfortunately I am using someone else's minecraft to play (they don't play anymore but I'm planning on getting a copy for myself before November starts hopefully so that I could get my preferred IGN and play with others as well).

I find it amazing how a game with simple graphics can be so addictive.  I also watch other Youtubers play Minecraft and some of them already have seasons of their gameplay.  I wonder if I should join the bandwagon and do a series myself but I'm afraid that my current status won't allow me that.  I won't mention any particular Youtube channel here since I don't want to create a popularity chaos with the readers.

Anyways, when I started playing, I created a random world for myself.  And talk about being lucky.  I spawned in nearby villages.  Yes, villages.  Not one but two!  I asked my friend about it and he was shocked at where I landed and said that I should keep on playing and keep the villagers safe from a zombie attack.  So right now I'm going to share with you the seed for the world I'm playing at right now.  It's -6381953046361780768 (take note of the minus sign).
