RED

Since this was what I did everytime I go to the cinemas, I often try to remember what trailers they show before the main movie.  So I tried very hard for the past week and I only remembered two movies, RED and DEVIL.

Red & Devil are both movies that are coming soon to the cinemas.  I'm not sure when they will be shown but I'm quite excited in watching both.  Not because if you put them together: Red Devil; it automatically means I already associated them with Manchester United, but that's not the case and it's quite coincidental.

Anyways, you can watch both trailers at the jump.  Read more...

Movie: Resident Evil: Afterlife

Resident Evil: Afterlife is the fourth movie of the series that just came out in theaters just recently.  The action-packed movie did most of the work in entertaining me and my expectations of a Resident Evil, unlike the previous one, Resident Evil: Extinction, where I kinda fell asleep after several action scenes.  Well more on my thoughts about the movie but be warned, it contains spoilers and I don't want to ruin it if you haven't seen the movie yet.

Movies: Upcoming Movies for January 2009

Movies shown in January, along with movie trailers to each title, that have caught my attention and probably post my reviews for each after I've watched them. Here is the list:

Bride Wars
Not Easily Broken
The Unborn
Chandni Chowk to China
My Bloody Valentine 3D
Notorious
Paul Blart: Mall Cop
Underworld: Rise of the Lycans
The Uninvited

Movies: Resident Evil Degeneration

I saw this movie trailer at youtube, trying to find movie trailers that caught my attention for a December movie marathon. So as a Resident Evil fan, I do like to watch this movie, even though this is a computer animated movie just like Final Fantasy movies. The plot, as it may seem, is another zombie outbreak and a big boss at the end where the main characters, Claire and Leon probably get to kill. Reminds me of Resident Evil 4, where a monster was introduced as "Degenerator."

As far as I'm concerned, this will be one of the top 5 movies for my movie marathon for the month of December.

Madagascar 2: Escape to Africa

Another animated movie that I watched with my special half, I thought it was a great movie. I can't say anything more than this is a recommended movie to watch with your family and it is worth your time and money.

Death Race

Prison. Convicts. Race. Mix them together, you got this movie to watch. Prisoners are put into a race where they could kill each other brutally by any means and claim victory in the race. It may be like a destruction derby with a lap circuit involved or you could probably associate this with the Twisted Metal game. But whatever I say, you'd be saying, cool action packed races. A definite watch for me.

Mirrors

Mirrors

Kiefer Sutherland stars in this movie as an ex-cop where an evil force is out to get his family by means of mirrors. By watching the trailer, I'm quite excited to see this movie since I know that the main actor also stars in a favorite show of mine called 24. I'm not expecting this to be action packed like 24 but I'm looking forward of how he'll outwit nature in this movie. Recommended movie to watch.

Movies: Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince

The sixth installment of the Harry Potter Series and the sixth movie, I had the time to watch the trailer of it on youtube and it kinda gave an awesome preview of what we would see this coming November.

Movies to Watch: July 2008

As expected from a movie fanatic, I'll list down some movies that you may want to add to your movies-to-watch list. Probably most of them you've seen from cinematic trailers or from TV commercials, and there are some that you probably haven't seen or heard before. So here's the list of movies that I've heard are either coming soon or now showing in theaters near you. hehehe

Hellboy II: The Golden Army
Batman: The Dark Knight
Felon
Meet Dave
Wanted
Journey to the Center of the Earth
Wall-E
Mamma Mia

I'll link trailers later so that you can preview them first before spending some cash for a movie date with someone special.

Movie: Hancock (trailer)

A hard-living superhero who has fallen out of favor with the public enters into a questionable relationship with the wife of the public relations professional who's trying to repair his image.

- imdb.com

Another superhero movie with a comedy twist. Not the typical movie for a superhero but since Will Smith is in it, I gotta see this. The trailer does show some funny and damaging scenes, probably the reason why I'd like to watch it. Enjoy.

Movie: Wanted (trailer)

I've decided to make all movie posts into one with an exception of watched movies will have a review and the movies to be watched will have a (trailer) at the title. This way, my blog will be more organized and nothing will be left out or hard to find. Anyways, this movie was previewed 3 months ago at the cinemas where I and my girlfriend watch and I'm still waiting for this movie to be shown. Here's a brief summary from imdb.com and the trailer.

"Wanted" tells the tale of one apathetic nobody's transformation into an unparalleled enforcer of justice.

My expectations would be that this will be a great action movie, Angelina Jolie and Morgan Freeman as part of its cast, although I don't really know the main character (actor). This movie will be part of my "movies to watch" list.

Movie: 21

I've gotten a chance to sit back, relax, and enjoy this movie at Robinsons Metro East. Great mix with a large Coke Zero! Anyways, here's the movie plot enough to not spoil the movie, coming from imdb.com, "'21' is the fact-based story about six MIT students who were trained to become experts in card counting and subsequently took Vegas casinos for millions in winnings." Now, I'm fond of casino movies but this one has pulled its strings and entertained me throughout that I watched it the second time around.

My say on the movie, it was well done. The twists at the end was spectacular. Actors were well-picked. Another good movie to watch. Enjoy the trailer. ^_^

Movies: Big Dreams Little Tokyo

Might be a good movie to watch, really funny trailer. Would want to see it sometime this week, but I guess I have to postpone that due to a busy tight schedule. Well, wanted to share this to you all, since most comedy movies are a great way to take away stress.

Movie: What Happens in Vegas

Set in Sin City, story revolves around two people who discover they've gotten married following a night of debauchery, with one of them winning a huge jackpot after playing the other's quarter. Unhappy pair try to undermine each other and get their hands on the money -- falling in love along the way.

I've kinda liked the trailer. Planning to watch this since it's quite amusing of how the story goes. Hope to get a couple of good laughs throughout the movie. /no1

Additional Notes:

I've watched the movie with my girl and yes, it was a great watch. Wanted to watch it the second time around but had to go do some shopping and other things to finish. Oh well, I'll probably try to get a DVD copy when it comes out, good to add to the collection in the comedy romance genre.

Movies: Forbidden Kingdom

An American teenager who is obsessed with Hong Kong cinema and kung-fu classics makes an extraordinary discovery in a Chinatown pawnshop: the legendary stick weapon of the Chinese sage and warrior, the Monkey King. With the lost relic in hand, the teenager unexpectedly finds himself traveling back to ancient China to join a crew of warriors from martial arts lore on a dangerous quest to free the imprisoned Monkey King.

I'm planning on watching this later on because my favorite kung fu actors are here, Jet Li and Jackie Chan! Probably intense action scenes with a mix of comedy is what I'm expecting from this movie. Others have already recommended to watch this so I probably will enjoy spending at least 2 hours on a couch eating popcorn. ^_^
